Role: Merchandising Analyst - Sporting Life

I started with Sporting Life in 2022 as a Hardgoods Sales Associate at our Hillcrest Mall location in Richmond Hill, Ontario.

I was on the sales floor for two and a half years helping customers with skis, snowboards, tennis and bikes until there was an opportunity to move into a role at our Store Support Center (SSC).

I am now a Merchandising Analyst for the Ski and Bike categories. I enjoyed working with the all the cool new products while in stores and thankful I get to continue and deepen my knowledge in the Merchandising department.

The key purpose of my role is to make sure that the right products get to the right stores, at the right time. This involves managing purchase orders, transferring product, and supporting the Buyer when planning the season’s assortment. It's all about equipping stores with the inventory they need so they can give customers the best shopping experience.

My go-to brand is Arc’Teryx. The price tag can be intimidating but it’s worth it knowing it goes toward their fair labour policies and making a products that will last.

I live my Sporting Life by getting outdoors year-round. During the summer I like to go biking, and camping. During the winter I snowboard. I like finding any good excuse to get out and play!
