Role: Service Manager -Yonge St.


I started my Sporting Life journey 15 years ago as a Technician at our Bike store, and since moving a few blocks north to our original location, I’ve learned a lot about servicing bikes, skis, snowboards, and racquets.

 

The best part of the job for me is the variety of hands-on work that keeps things interesting and rewarding.

 

Over the years, my role has developed beyond technical skills — I now manage our Service Shop, handle special orders for customers, teach and mentor new technicians, and help keep our tuning machines in working order.

Another important part of my job is building relationships with customers. Sporting Life has been in the Yonge St. community for 46 years, and some of our customers have almost as many bikes and skis. While I don’t do emergency house calls for mechanical repairs (anymore!), that trust gives the work a purpose because customers know we care as much about their performance and safety as they do.

 

My go-to brand on the bike side is Cannondale — I ride a SuperSix EVO High Mod, Team Edition, and live my sporting life by riding it as much as I can on the roads in the city and beyond. This winter, I’m looking forward to spending more time on the ski hill. I'll be riding HEAD skis with some Atomic boots.
